Donald William Davis, age 79 of Jacksboro, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at his home. He was born on November 3, 1942. Donald was a Vietnam Veteran, where he was a two-time purple heart recipient. He worked as a medic with a group of men, where he would preach the gospel to all through the Vietnam War, where they saw many saved. Donald was also a minister at Fonde Church of God Mountain Assembly for over 50 years. He also loved God, his family, his country, gardening, preaching, reading God’s word, his church, church family, traveling, but what he loved most of all is his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father Walter Lewis Davis; mother Edna Ruth Marlow Davis Partin; stepfather Lester Partin; sisters Luzon Partin, Betty Partin, and Joyce Davis Monday; brothers Damon Partin, Emory Buster Davis, and Butch Partin.

He is survived by his loving wife Flary Lou Lyke Davis; son Walter Davis; very special adopted daughter Cathy Davis Ellison; grandsons Austin William Davis, Garrett Jacob Davis, and Dillion Aslinger; sister Valerie Partin Cooper; brothers Jerry Wayne Partin, Mark Partin, and Charles Partin; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbeares; grandsons Austin Davis and Garrett Davis; nephews Robert Earl Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Stephen Johnson, and Darrell Partin.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 11:00 AM- 12:00 PM at Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM with Rev. Cecil Johnson and Eddie Johnson officiating. Interment to follow funeral service at Cumberland View Cemetery with Military Honors given by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
