JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – Newly elected officials Brittany Foust and Todd Nance will not officially take over their offices of the Register of Deeds and County Clerk respectively until Thursday, September 1, 2022. Both offices are closed for the transition, and neither official will have access to their office until tomorrow.

The County Clerk’s office will not be able to reopen until Thursday at 10am, and only the Jacksboro/Courthouse office will be open on Thursday and Friday, according to Nance.  Nance points out that his transition into the office will not take place until Sept. 1.

“The Register of Deeds office will open on Thursday when I officially take office, and I want to make sure everything is working properly, all the mail has been accumulated over the past few days,” said Foust.  She notes that the office will open to the public at 1pm Thursday.

Nance adds that the clerk’s office will be closed on Saturday and Monday as part of the Labor Day holiday weekend reopening Tuesday at 8am.

Then on Friday, the Campbell County Clerk’s office, Jacksboro/Courthouse only, opens at 8am as will the Register of Deeds office.

“Thank you, and I am sorry for the inconvenience,” said Nance.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/31/2022-6AM)
