Four bodies were found in this home that sits not too far off General Carl Stiner Highway.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL WLAF) – Officials with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department report that at 1:49pm Wednesday a deputy was sent to a home east of La Follette for a welfare check.

At a home at 144 Log Home Lane the officer discovered four bodies in what is believed to be a murder-suicide.

The family living at the home had not been heard from since last week after the father passed away from natural causes. Also last month, according to dispatch records, officers responded to the same home on a neighbor dispute call.

The scene has been secured since about 2pm Wednesday.

Once at the home this afternoon, deputies were unable to make contact with anyone inside of the home, but all of the family vehicles were in the driveway. Deputies then made forcible entry into the house, where they made the discovery. Detectives were then called to the scene.

“We’ve called in the TBI to assist our detectives in the investigation,” said Sheriff Robbie Goins. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/03/2022-6PM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S CHARLOTTE UNDERWOOD)
