JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Two men are in custody at this hour after officers with Jacksboro Police, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and La Follette Police ran them down on foot.

It all began about 9am when a Jacksboro Police Officer was called about two suspicious men who were let out of a black car on Twin Hills Lane according to reports from Central Dispatch. The car had a drive out tag on it. It was said that the men began walking between homes in the neighborhood.

Once officers were able to spot the men, the men ran, and the pursuit was underway. The men split up and were eventually apprehended. The whole ordeal took the better part of an hour.

One man was caught on Michaela Lane, just off Eagle Bluff Road, while the other man was captured on Perkins Lane near where Dr. Isham’s office was located.

There is still a police presence in the area. Investigators are searching for evidence. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/26/2022-11AM)
