JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- Jared Effler has served as the 8th Judicial District’s Attorney General for the past eight years and is grateful that the citizens of Campbell, Claiborne, Fentress, Scott and Union counties are allowing him to seek a second term unopposed.

By working with law enforcement and crime victims, Effler’s office has achieved one of the highest incarceration rates for felony offenders in Tennessee. Specifically, felony drug offenders have been put behind bars for over 1,959 years combined since September 2014.

Crime victim support has also been a priority during Effler’s first term. His staff has operated a full-time office in each of the district’s five counties and have collected over $2.5 million in victim restitution and compensation. Jared stated, “Serving as District Attorney has been an extreme honor! I will continue to work hard every day to keep peace and dignity in our district.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED07/29/22- 6AM)
