JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Town of Jacksboro has two new firefighters. On Thursday afternoon, the Jacksboro Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted to promote Shawn McGlone and Zachary Williams to full-time firefighter positions. The pair was hired in June as auxiliary firemen.

Resolution 365 amending the 2021-22 budget was approved. The resolution covered budget overages for the year.

In police business, the board approved the purchase of two office chairs.

The street and sanitation department could soon have a new worker. The board agreed to hire a new worker contingent upon them passing their CDL exam. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/12/2022-6AM)
