LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Better make hay while the sun shines through mostly clouds.

…FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING…

* WHAT…Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

* WHERE…A portion of east Tennessee, including Campbell County.

* WHEN…Through this evening.

* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to affect the watch area between through Friday evening. Given the saturated grounds from recent heavy rains, any additional moderate to heavy rainfall will likely produce flash flooding. And even after the rain has ended it may take several hours for flood waters to recede.
