One person was extracted from this pick-up truck that landed in Cove Creek.

RED ASH, TN (WLAF) – A late morning single-vehicle wreck sent one man to the hospital by way of a medical helicopter.

First Responders with the Caryville and Jacksboro Fire Departments along with the Campbell County EMS extracted a 50-year old man from his pick up truck after it came off old Highway 63 in the Red Ash Community. The truck ended up in Cove Creek on the passenger side in about three-feet of water.

The man was transported to the Caryville ball field by CCEMS. The unit met the medical helicopter there and flew the patient to a Knoxville hospital.
