CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – “On Saturday, everything went off smoothly; excellent weather, lower temperature and humidity,” said Clarence Lowe, race director for the annual Cove Lake 5K. See the full list of finishers HERE from Total Race Solutions.

Gavin Cooper set a very fast pace for the runners, winning in a time of 15:41. The former Campbell Cougar and ETSU Bucanner was nearly two minutes ahead of the field. “He had shared with me that his pre-race goal was 16:00,” said Lowe.

“He (Cooper) has trained so hard and put in the work to be successful, and I am so proud of Gavin,” said Lowe.

Kathy Wolski, 20:02, of Knoxville bested all female runners. She is also the past winner.

Azelynn Wilson, 13, of Jacksboro finished as 3rd place over-all female winner with a time of 25:02.
