LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – While Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Jacob Fox was looking for a suspect on May 28, he found another wanted person. Fox was at 407 Powell Valley Marine Road attempting to make contact with a suspect when saw Ethan Shane Drake.

He knew that Drake had a warrant for his arrest and approached him to speak with him about it. Fox asked multiple times if Drake had any drugs or weapons on him to which he reported he did not. Fox arrested Drake on a violation of probation warrant, according to a report from the sheriff’s office.

Fox began to search Drake but was unable to locate anything on his person. He was transported to the jail and asked again if he had anything on him. Again, he reported no. After Drake was booked into the jail, Fox was notified by Corrections Officer Arlo Caldwell that he had found a small bag containing a crystal-like substance, believed to be Methamphetamine, in Drake’s front pants pocket. He also allegedly found a small cut straw with white residue inside it inside Drake’s wallet.

Drake, 25, 502 West Walden Street, LaFollette, was charged with violation of probation, possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and introduction or possession in penal institution. The bond for Drake is set at $50,000, secure, as he awaits a court hearing on Thursday morning. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/13/2022-6AM)
