LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Sunday evening at East Lafollette Baptist Church, 12 young race car builders tried out their designs at the first-ever ELBC Slot Car Grand Prix.

The race cars and trucks that entered to run the race.

The cars were designed, built and painted by the owner. No car could weigh more than five ounces. The cars raced down a 36 foot track at remarkable speed toward the finish line at the Sunday evening event.

ELBC Pastor/Race Official Zach Lloyd weighed in the cars.
It was all down hill from here.
Avery Burgan claimed first place.
Owen Boshears came in second.
Max Boshears claimed third place.
