The procession for General Stiner’s stretched as far as the eye could see.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Activity began early last week as the community prepared to bid Four Star General Carl Wade Stiner farewell. However, before sunup Saturday, the proud town of La Follette was out putting the final touches in place for The General’s celebration.

West Central Avenue in front of First Baptist Church was down to one lane to allow space for the vehicles that drove to The General’s final resting place.
The Jellico Honor Guard paid its respects at the Cumberland and East Central Avenues intersection.
The flyover took place above Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.
A large crowd gathered at The General’s gravesite not too far from where he grew up.
This is the missing man formation as this single helicopter dropped out of the group and flies away.
