TOP PHOTO: Kids Fish Free Day returns this weekend.

ANDERSONVILLE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – The Clinch River Chapter of Trout Unlimited will host its Kids Fish Free Day on Saturday, June 11th, from 9am-1pm, at Miller Island Boat Access on River Road.  It’s open to all youth up to 16 years old.  

To register for this event, connect here. The registration form is on the bottom of the home page. “This information is very important to us.  We will need to know about the equipment needed and how much food to prepare.” said one organizer. He encourages you to register.

The event is limited to 50 youth, and they will be cooking hot dogs.  Water will be on hand, but if you have something special you like to drink, please bring what you will need.

Activities will include casting instruction, fly tying, boat rides and, of course, wade fishing in the river.

Kids Fish Free Day coincides with the statewide Tennessee Free fishing Day and partners in the event are the Tennessee Valley Authority and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/06/2022-6AM)
