LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Driving by Kyle Cody Bertrand was just erratic enough to get the attention of a nearby deputy. It was 12:15 am, Tuesday, May 10, when Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Jacob Fox witnessed Bertrand’s red Ford Focus make the odd move.

The Ford made a wide left turn when turning off of Old Middlesboro Highway causing Bertrand to drive onto the shoulder and forcing him to go between the construction cones to get back onto the roadway. The deputy made a traffic stop and learned from central dispatch that Bertrand was wanted out of Morgan County on two active warrants.

According to the arrest report, Bertrand’s charges at Morgan County were for fraudulent use of a credit card and theft.

Bertrand, 34, 2440 Long Hollow Road, La Follette, was released to Morgan County officials based on Campbell County Jail records. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/19/2022-6AM)
