JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell Cougar Zac Brady not only had one pick 6, but two his senior season. One person who loved seeing those interceptions for touchdowns was his uncle, Jacksboro Fire Chief Jason Shetterly. “I’m very proud, so very proud of him,” said Shetterly who attended Brady’s signing ceremony on Tuesday at Campbell High. Brady is headed to Williamsburg to play football for the Patriots of the University of the Cumberlands.

Uncle Jason calls him an excellent player and a smart, good kid. Brady wore jersey number 15 for football and basketball as a Cougar. “I’ve watched him from Little League all the way through high school, and he’s always impressed me,” said Shetterly.

The chief commented on Zac’s size saying he’s really shot up in the last two years. “I figured he had it in him (size), but he’s finally showing it,” said Shetterly. Zac stands six-feet, four inches tall and weighs in at 210 and figures they’ll add some weight to him when he gets to Williamsburg.

Shetterly’s been impressed with Zac’s passion for the game. “He really loves the game and is very knowledgeable,” said Uncle Jason. Shetterly tried to tell Brady that school is really important, and it’s not all about football, but Brady simply responds, “I love the game.” He’ll be loving that game on Saturdays come August when he and his Patriots host arch rival Union in the annual Brass Lantern Game.
