Sherman Albert “Weasel” Campbell, age 76, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May16, 2022. He was a loving husband of 47 years, father, grandfather, great grandfather that enjoyed working outside, mowing, working in the garden, and feeding Bobo’s horse. He was a coal miner for many years, never met a stranger, was a good neighbor, uncle, and brother.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Casper and Pearlie Campbell; brothers, Earvin Campbell, Bill Campbell, Lloyd “Dalt” Campbell, Pascal Campbell, Donald “Pooter” Campbell, and John “Banks” Campbell; sisters, Coleen Johnson, Mildred Welden, Nancy Campbell, and Rosie Campbell.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Campbell; sons, Sherman Campbell and wife Nicky, Casper Campbell and wife Kimber; grandchild, Cody Anderson and wife Katelyn; great grandchildren, Zoey and Riley; brother, Harrison Campbell; sisters, Gracie Campbell and Lois Roberts; special friends, Darrel Shelton, Linden Shelton, Rolland Shelton, Kyle Asbury, and Estel Evans; and a host of friends and relatives to mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 19, 2022 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home from 5 PM to 7 PM. Funeral service will be held at the Ivydell Holiness Church on Friday May 20, 2022 at 11 am with Rev. Richard Long, Rev. Gary Long, and Bro. Monroe Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Peabody Cemetery.
