John Ballard, the Produce Manager of the Year in 2012, calls the corn for this weekend’s annual corn sale “unbelievably good.”

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – “It’s some of the best corn we’ve had. It’s unbelievably good,” said John Ballard. Ballard is the local produce manager at Food City in La Follette.

The annual corn sale is Friday and Saturday, May 13-14, at a retail cost of 12 ears for $5 or $20 for a case of four dozen.

Thousands of ears of corn go on sale Friday at 6am.

“We have yellow, white as well as peaches and cream. It’s tremendous,” added Ballard.
