JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Campbell County Sheriff’s department is once again hosting its annual school supply drive for area students.

The drive kicked off last week and will continue with another drive on May 12 from 9 am to 1 pm. at the Elkins Road intersection in Jacksboro.

In August of 2020, WLAF’s Charlie Hutson caught up with Campbell County Deputy Mike “Catfish” Miller (left) and Sheriff Robbie Goins (right) along with many other members of the CCSO who were distributing school supplies on Saturday, August 15, at Campbell and Jellico High Schools. This photo was snapped at CCHS.

Each year the Sheriff’s department spends two days collecting donations to purchase supplies for students. The Sheriff’s department staff will then assemble bags that include notebooks, paper, folders, binders, pencils, erasers, crayons, glue and more.  These are then handed out at several locations prior to the start of the school year. These times will be announced later.

Donations can also be dropped off at the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/11/2022-6AM)
