John Thomas (Red) Bridges, age 72 of Elk Valley passed away Saturday May 7, 2022 at his home. He was a member of Stanfill United Baptist Church. Former owner and operator of Bridges Elk Valley Cabinet Company and Bridges Wood Products in Strawberry Plains. Preceded in death by first wife Patricia Ann McGhee Bridges, parents John and Delphia Sexton Bridges, stepson Brandon Woodward, brothers Bill and Charles Wayne Bridges.

Survivors:

Wife: Jeannie Burress Bridges

Son: Jason (Kimberly) Bridges

Stepson: Jerry Lynn Sherlin and David Scott Sherlin

Stepdaughter: Meagan Chitwood

Grandchildren: Johnathan, Abby, and Jake Bridges.

Step Grandchildren: Braylee, Jazlyn, and Brennon.

Honorable Mention: Jessie Bridges and June Perkins

Along with a host of other family and friends.

Family will receive friends 12-2 PM Thursday, May 12 at the Stanfill United Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at 2 PM with Rev. Jeff Lloyd and Rev. David Walker officiating. Interment to follow funeral services at Warren Memorial Garden in Elk Valley.
