Lovely Gifts is now open in its brick and mortar shop

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – What began as an Etsy shop has become a brick and mortar shop.  On April 22, Cassandra Byers opened Lovely Gifts on 288 Valley Street in Jacksboro. The store began as an Etsy shop where Byers sold her handmade soap. The soap were specially made for sensitive skin as well as gift soap.

Byers had worked in retail throughout her adult career and realized one day that she was no longer happy working the corporate world. She knew this was the time to open a store front with the realization there was a need for better quality and more children’s clothing, especially boys.

“I have five nephews and it’s always been a struggle trying to find cute and fun clothing for boys that will stand up to their wildness,” said Byers.  So she decided why not just find those things herself and open a business. She sourced for over a month trying to find clothes that she knew would be durable and weren’t the same as what everyone else has. Most of the clothing in the store is a limited run so everyone’s child won’t be wearing the same outfit. She currently getting shipments weekly so stock will change quickly. Byers inventory will change often because she won’t get the same items in that she had, so everything is out of stock completely once it sells out. 

She also has an assortment of girls’ clothing. One of the big brands she has is called Sparkledots and their clothing is specially made with a blend of polyester and spandex and is considered sensory sensitive clothing. So, it’s durable but also soft and not irritating for children with sensory issues.

Byers is the sole business proprietor; however her mom and husband have played a huge role in getting the shop opened. The store is kid friendly with puzzles and chalk board area set up for them.

Lovely Gifts will have a grand opening on May 6 from 10 am to 6 pm, The store is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm.

Grand opening event will be Friday May 6 from 10 am to 6 pm. But we are opening beginning Friday the 22nd. 10 am to 6 pm Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
