JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – On Saturday night, more than 50 amateur “detectives” met at Manahouse Coffee for a night of “who done it.”

The evening featured an original story by Patrick Pebley, where attendees tried to figure out who killed the local beloved Mayor.  Teams worked together discovering clues, racing against time to defuse a bomb, and trying to find out who was behind the pretend murder.

While the bomb was ultimately disarmed just in time, the murderer got away.  A sequel to the story is already in the works.

The night of fun was all in an effort to raise money for the Caryville Cares Playground, our county’s first inclusive playground.

Ann and Bob Colvin were a part of the fun night at Manahouse Coffee.

“After last month’s successful fundraising dinner, this event was a great way to bring together supporters to have some fun” said Committee Member Sarah Padgett.  “We appreciate Manahouse Coffee for their support, and hope that everyone had a good time.  Events like this are always fun, but it’s even better when you know you are supporting a great cause.”
