Deputy Glennis Monday’s pit move stops a fleeing suspect

DUFF, TN (WLAF) – A grey Lincoln Town Car was sitting on Hwy 25W at Chaska with a flat tire last week when Campbell County Litter Control Officer and Deputy Glennis Monday rolled up. Monday stopped and talked with the driver of the car, Dylan Monroe Ivey.

Ivey reported to Deputy Monday he did not have a driver’s license. Ivey then pulled out and began driving north. Monday turned on his blue lights and siren following Ivey. The deputy told Ivey through his truck’s PA system to pull over, but Ivey continued toward Morley and onto Hwy 90 going toward White Oak. Soon, the left rear tire blew out making both back tires flat. Monday was joined by Deputy Jacob Jones and Deputy James McCall in the pursuit. Ivey continued through White Oak and to Davis Creek. Deputy Monday performed a pit move on the Lincoln and was able to stop Ivey, according to a report from the sheriff’s office.

A search of Ivey’s vehicle revealed Suboxone in a duffle bag along with scales, green leafy residue, 16 animal cookie cannabis flower baggies and bags of a green substance believed to be Marijuana. In the glove box was $540 in cash believed to be proceeds from selling Marijuana.

Ivey, 20, 515 East Central Avenue, LaFollette was charged with violation of TN financial law, driving while revoked, failure to yield to emergency vehicle, possession of schedule III controlled substance, felony evading arrest, drivers to exercise due care, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, no driver’s license, and possession of schedule VI controlled substance.
