LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – Today, La Follette Middle School, for the fourth consecutive year, will host Adulting 101 for its 8th grade students.

Adulting 101 is a game designed to simulate real world budgeting and provide students with an interactive experience to develop financial literacy skills. Half of the 8th grade will participate first for 90 minutes beginning at 8:05 a.m.  The second group will begin at 9:45 a.m.

When not participating in the Adulting game, students will listen to three 30-minute presentations from Campbell County High School CTE instructors, agriculture, criminal justice and construction/auto tech.   “We are excited to offer this experience once again for our students with more than 20 community volunteers coming in to run the stations. Without them, Adulting 101 would not happen,” said Linda Prim, School Counselor, La Follette Middle School. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/11/2022-6:30AM)
