Norbert John “Johnny” Ward, age 64, of Jacksboro, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday March 5, 2022.

Johnny loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He loved cooking for all his family even though he wouldn’t admit that. He loved hunting, fishing, drawing, wood working, and building things.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Mary Ward; his mother Patsy Blair; father Robert Ward; sister, Ofa Plymouth; brother Larry Ward; his first grandson Austin Jackie Shawn Kitts, and Baby Ford.

He is survived by sisters; Roberta Leonard, Cathy Blair, Evia Blair; brothers, Joe Ward and Robert Ward; children, Kasey Griffis and Rusty Lamance of Wartburg, Elizabeth and Ryan Brown of Caryville, Justin and Joni Lough of Caryville, Crystal Evans and Jeremiah Wolfe of Williamsburg, KY, Kayla and Nathan Ford of Lake City, and Daryl Evans of Caryville; grandchildren, Melissa White, Bethany Lough, Alyssa Brown, Kassidy Griffis, Autum Evans, Alexandra Brown, Hunter Evans, Jayden Ward, Emma Jane Brown, Addison Cook, Noah Ford, Isaiah Ford, and Kaiden Cook; great grandchildren, Copelynn Marie Faye Lough, Xaria White, and Xavier White; aunt, Easter Miller, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that thought of him as a Brother or Papaw.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday March 8, 2022 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home from 6 PM to 8 PM with funeral service to follow with Rev. Jerry Foust and Rev. Doris Cook officiating.

Johnny’s wishes were to be cremated.
