Cross Valley Road will be closed beginning today as part of the Stiner/SR-63 Hwy construction progresses.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The contractor for the SR-63 widening will be constructing the side road tie ins to SR-63 starting Thursday, March 3 and beginning at Cross Valley Road.

In order to do so, the contractor will need to temporarily close the side roads to complete this work. Closures are necessary to allow the contractor to grade and pave each of the side roads to the north of SR-63. At this point in time, the contractor intends to only close one side road at a time and will make continuous progress to complete this work after the road has been closed. Traffic will be detoured to other side streets while the road is temporarily closed for construction. It is anticipated each of these closures will last approximately two weeks but will be dependent upon weather and subsurface conditions.

Constructing the side road tie ins begins March 3 on Cross Valley Road.

The first location the contractor intends to begin working will be Cross Valley Road. Traffic will be detoured to the nearby Fincastle Road.
