LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Motivational speaker, life coach and author Jonathan Darling guest spoke at the South Campbell County Rotary Club meeting on Tuesday.

He spoke on “love and leadership” and how to create a love-based leadership through every day encounters with those around us.

“When you lead with love, you invest in people,” Darling said.

Darling is a graduate of Ball State University in Exercise Science and has an MBA from Regent University. He is a certified John Maxwell Leadership Coach. Darling has guest spoke at universities, high schools and companies all across the United States. He is also the founder of the Impact Knoxville Leadership Conference and has been “studying leadership for the last five or six years.”

“When we build our leadership off of power, status and title, it separates it and that’s not good. Love and leadership is created for every single one of us. Being a leader is not just about a position, it’s about loving people; leaders understand everyone has unique talents and skills,” Darling said.

In Rotary announcements, next Tuesday is “Gary Farwick Day” at the Rotary meeting to “wish him well as he retires to Florida,” according to South Campbell County Rotary Club president Rayma Daugherty.

This week Kenny Baird will celebrate 27 years as a Rotarian.

There is also a bedding drive underway for the upcoming Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bed building event on Saturday. NEW Twin Size bedding is needed for kids in Campbell County. The drop off location is United Cumberland Bank, Located at 2828 Appalachian Hwy. Jacksboro.
