Snow began falling late Friday night-early Saturday morning in Campbell County.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The WINTER STORM WARNING for Campbell County runs until 1pm on Saturday. Periods of moderate to heavy snowfall will continue early this morning diminishing during the day to flurries and snow showers. Temperatures hold in the 20s with wind chills in the single-digits, and visibility is also a challenge on this brisk, snowy day

The WINTER STORM WARNING runs Friday at midnight through Saturday at 1pm.

…WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM SATURDAY… 

* WHAT…Moderate to heavy snowfall continues. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches with locally higher amounts.  Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. 

* WHERE…Campbell, Claiborne, Morgan and Scott Counties. 

* WHEN…Until 1 PM Saturday. 

* IMPACTS…There are snow and ice covered roadways with slippery road conditions. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Some blowing and drifting of the snow is greatly reducing visibilities at times. Snow is also accumulating in trees which might make them weak or unstable in the gusty winds. Some power outages have occurred.
