CARYVILLE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – The Caryville Cares Inclusive Playground Committee new date after a postponement is tonight. Inclement weather caused a delay to the event. The event will now start serving food at 6 pm; an hour later than previously scheduled.  The program will begin at 7 pm.

“We are disappointed that we have had to change the event, but we feel everyone’s safety is the most important priority,” said the planning committee.  “We are building this playground so that children in our community have a safe environment to play, and we feel that we would be setting a poor example if we encouraged people to come to the event in this dangerous weather.”

The event will still go on nearly the same as planned with live music from Nashville recording artists the Roberts Sisters, wonderful food from Stockyard BBQ, and great desserts from Something Sweet Cafe.  Due to the change in schedule, Coach Jamey Chadwell will now be addressing the attendees virtually on Monday.

“At the end of the day, nothing will stop us from building a playground for the children in need in our community.  We will fight against whatever odds to make this dream a reality, and we appreciate your support,” committee members said.
