CARYVILLE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – A few tickets remain for next week’s fundraiser for the Caryville Cares Playground according to one of the organizers, Brandon Johnson. Tickets can be purchased by calling (423) 494-4894.

The Caryville Cares Playground Committee announced Monday the details of its fundraising dinner.  The night of food, music, and fun is set for Saturday, March 12th, 2022 at 5:00 PM.  Social Grace Event Styling is preparing the event, with Hidden Spring Farm in LaFollette being the venue.  Food is being catered by Stockyard BBQ, and desserts are being provided by Something Sweet Bakery.  100% of profits from the night will be going directly to the initiative to build the community’s first inclusive playground.  There will also be both silent and live auctions.

The most exciting part of the evening, however, is Caryville native Jamey Chadwell is set to speak.  Chadwell is the son of longtime local educators Jim and Cindy Chadwell, and he is now the Head Coach for Coastal Carolina Football.   Under Chadwell’s leadership, Coastal Carolina won their first bowl game in school history last month.

“Our community has produced some incredible people, and Coach Chadwell is one of those” said Playground Committee Member Olivia Lobertini.  “It is so important for Campbell County to have an inclusive playground so that every child has a place to play, and this event is going to be an evening where we can pull together and support something that is going to make a real difference.”

The committee has several packages available to support the event, including sponsoring a table and individual tickets starting at $75 per person.

For more information, or to support the event, you can call (423) 494-4894, or visit the Caryville Cares Playground Facebook Page. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/01/2022-6AM)
