LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – This past week, the concrete anchor bases for new traffic control signals were poured at intersections on the east side of Lafollette.

TDOT released information before the road construction started on Hwy 63/Stiner Hwy, that there would be new traffic signals installed at the intersection of East Central Avenue and Myers Lane near Food Lion and at the intersection of Hwy 63 and the turn off to Davis Chapel Road/Wildwood Circle. As a result, there will be some adjustments made to the signaling system at Hwy 63 and Old Middlesboro Hwy near Big O’s Git-n-Go depending on the new traffic pattern at that intersection.

This concrete anchor base at the Davis Chapel Road/Wildwood Circle intersection is complete with the stubbed up conduit run for the power and control cables.

This is only the beginning of this project. There is still a lot of work to be done. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/21/2022-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S CHARLIE HUTSON)
