JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County could not have drawn it up any better; hosting the district tournament with a senior and junior laden team playing for the tourney title. The Cougars are 7 & 3 over their past 10 outings including a tough seven point loss at Oak Ridge to the Wildcats, the team CC faces tonight at 7:30pm.
Watch the Cougars and Oak Ridge by clicking on the WLAF-Lindsay’s Carpet & Paint Center video player. The good folks at Tiki Hut have taken care of the TSSAA telecast clearance fee to allow WLAF to televise the game live. Thank you, Tiki Hut (Joe and Emily Whited).
The match-up stirs memories of the 1976 and 1985 (circa) Campbell – Oak Ridge district tourney title showdowns. The one in the 1980s was in front of a packed house plus in the old Oak Ridge gym.
Oak Ridge is 22 & 5 including a 10-0 regular season district finish. The Cougars claimed second place at 6 & 4 and bring a 14 & 12 worksheet to the meeting with half of those wins coming over the last 26 days.
Join Josh Parker and Company for all the live radio and television coverage of Campbell and Oak Ridge on Tuesday beginning at 7:30pm over the WLAF – Doyle’s Tire Shop Sports Network. Listen to the game over AM 1450 and FM 100.9. Watch the game televised live over 1450wlaf.com, WLAF-TV 12, Roku TV, Facebook, Amazon Firestick and YouTube.
