Betty June McFarland, age 93, went to be with the Lord on Thursday February 17, 2022. Betty was born in Longfield, TN and lived in Lake City TN most of her life and was a member of Longfield Baptist Church. She was a dedicated hard-worker employed as a sewing machine operator for Alpha Industries/Valley Apparel for over 40 years.  Her great love was for her family, gardening and working outdoors.  She cared for her husband until his passing from Alzheimer’s then spent the past 12 years living with her daughter Dale in Mascot , TN. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Bill McFarland, Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Dale McFarland, Cathy Elaine (Chance) McFarland, and Elizabeth Ann Duncan.  Her grandsons, Darrell Wayne Jackson, Jr, Kristopher Wayne Jackson, Scott Fox, Timothy Duncan, and granddaughter, Misty Duncan and eleven great grandchildren.    

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 1:00PM to 2:00 pm at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Rocky Top, TN.  Graveside services to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
