KNOXVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Scoutmaster Chris Thacker, BSA Troop 310-Cedar Hill Baptist Church, wants children ages 11 and older to know about an upcoming special opportunity hosted by the Great Smoky Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Thacker said it’s a shooting sports event set for next month, Saturday, March 5.  It’s called the GSMC “Shootin’ Hootenanny.”

The “Shootin’ Hootenanny” runs from 8am until 5pm at the John Sevier Education Center 2327 Rifle Range Road in north Knoxville 37918. Scouts, scouters and friends of scouting are welcome to participate for fun and compete for prizes.
