Don Ivey, 67, a native of LaFollette, TN passed away February 3, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  He was preceded in death by his parents Fred Edward Ivey and Evelyn Joyce Jones Ivey and his brother Doug Ivey. 

Don is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Deana Ivey of Nashville, Tennessee; his sister and brother-in-law, Patti and Lee Myers of LaFollette, Tennessee; one nephew, Ben Ivey of Nashville, TN; three nieces, Mary Grace Myers of LaFollette, Tennessee; Leigh Ivey Hicks (Jack) of Nashville, Tennessee; Virginia Ann Ivey of Nashville, Tennessee. 

A proud member of the LaFollette High School Class of 1972. For the last 15 years, Don lived in Adel, GA working as the Chief Estimator at Vulcan Steel Structures, Inc. He was a loyal member of the Cecil Baptist Church. He loved life, he loved work (Vulcan Steel Structures-you have been amazing), he loved the water, he loved “his people”, he loved the LaFollette Owls and returning for every Best of Times Reunion, and he loved his adopted hometown (and church) of Adel, Georgia.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday Saturday, February 12, 2022, 1:00 pm at LaFollette United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Chris Stanfield officiating. A Gathering of Friends will be held immediately following in the Fellowship Hall.
