LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – Big news came this past Saturday, Campbell County’s newest Eagle Scout is Elijah Lamb.  Lamb, being one of Troop 310’s founding members, has held numerous leadership roles, been an inspiration to youth, and helped people and animals alike.

Lamb’s Eagle Scout Project, PAWS, was focused around helping animals through gathering items that they may need and donating them to the local animal shelters. He spent a month collecting pet food, blankets, and pet products for animals in shelters. PAWS turned out to be a complete success and greatly has and is benefiting the animals of Campbell County Animal Shelter.

Elijah Lamb is celebrated.

Lamb has had an amazing scouting career, in a group of young men, Elijah has often been seen as a voice of reason. He tends to be a quiet but influential leader among the scouts. Often being an inspiration to especially the younger of the scouts, he tends to be watchful and observant and helps where he feels he needs to. Elijah has led flag ceremonies, conducted patrol and Troop meetings, helped conduct and has conducted outings, as well as taught skills, and influenced others. Elijah has proven that he is and will be there whenever needed most, he has played key roles in the Troop’s largest endeavors including the Hurricane Florence Relief Drive, Recycling Bin Construction, and several others. An overview of Elijah’s scouting accomplishments includes Brotherhood status in Order of the Arrow (OA), being an Elangomat for the OA, at least 21 Merit Badges, Paul Bunyan Woodsman award, and other awards.

Congratulations to Elijah for attaining the highest rank the BSA has to offer and being the 1st one of the new years. Lamb quotes, “I would not be who I am without scouts and my friends.” After saying that, as his friend, I could not be who I am without his guidance and support all these years.
