OAK RIDGE, TN (WLAF) – There will likely not be any fines levied or suspensions handed down today following the comments WLAF’s Josh Parker made about the officiating during Tuesday’s Campbell County-Oak Ridge broadcast over WLAF. Watch HERE.

However, the world may be nearing an end or hell could be on the verge of freezing over this morning as a result of his unprecedented remarks. “The officials did a really nice job of calling both games tonight,” said Parker. After all it was a veteran crew of Steve Pyatt, Jeff Little and Steve Kennedy.

These comments come from a broadcaster who is quicker to critique a referee’s call than a ref can blow a whistle. Now even though he did compliment the officials Tuesday night, the game was not without its share of Parker’s complaints on “the stripes” as he often calls them.

UPON FURTHER REVIEW: This story is tongue in cheek and really is only humorous to those who know how Parker rides the officials like a merry-go-round horse every time he’s on the air. However, out of character on Tuesday night, Josh applauded the officials, and from there, this story could not be passed up. Josh’s phone has been blowing up all morning with friends wondering if he’s in trouble. He is not. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/02/2022-6AM-UPDATED – 02/02/2022-11AM)

    “Parker makes shocking remarks”
Parker says some really nice things about the officials, but had some complaints, I mean what did he say? you took the time to write this and have nothing to show for it, if I was Josh I would be kinda mad about this post.

But the story is just two little paragraphs of nothing!

  2. Josh Parker does an excellent job of critiquing the officials and recognizing bad calls. I watch the Lady Cougars games. Keep up the good work, Josh!
