LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Stephanie Lloyd, an educator with the Campbell County Christian Learning Center (CLC), was the guest speaker at the South Campbell County Rotary Club luncheon on Tuesday. She spoke about the CLC, its purpose and how it has been growing. She also announced the upcoming gala for the CLC is on Friday, February 11.

The Christian Learning Center is a non-profit organization providing release time Bible Education courses for Campbell County High School students that choose to take them and have their parent’s permission.

“It’s not just a youth group and certainly not meant to be religious indoctrination. Our hope is to educate and equip students to understand and read scripture, and provide courses from an academic as well as devotional perspective,” Lloyd said.

She also shared the exciting growth at the CLC that between fall and spring semester there have been about 80 students enrolled, some of them repeat students. According to Lloyd, this is the largest enrollment the CLC has had since it’s beginning in 2018. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/02/2022-6AM)
