LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – It’s goodbye, hello day today at long time business Gifts From Above. The store that has been owned 18 years by husband and wife J.B. and Tina Purdie is now owned by Courtney Nelson and her husband Chris. The Purdies bid farewell as the Nelsons begin anew.

“We’re very excited after 18 years in business to be able to turn it over this this local couple,” said J.B. Purdie.

“We re very excited about this opportunity,” said Courtney Nelson. Gifts From Above is open Monday through Saturday from 9am until 6pm.

“After deciding we wanted to buy Gifts From Above, it’s been the longest month. We’ve been counting the days,” said Courtney Nelson.

J.B. Purdie said he and Tina appreciation the support provided by the community. “Tina and I hope you will continue to support the Nelsons as they begin their journey at Gifts From Above,” said J.B. Purdie.

The Nelsons are glad the Purdies did not close Gifts From Above. “We’re so thankful for all those wonderful people in our community who do business and support the store,” said Courtney.

Courtney and Chris, graduates of Campbell County High School, are native Campbell Countians who make their home at Jacksboro. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/01/2022-6AM)

  1. I have known Chris and Courtney for many years. A wonderful Christian family that will bring so much to Gifts From Above. They will do you right! I am so excited for them!
