JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – WLAF Sports has been on the phone tracking down former Cougars in search of the last time Campbell County automatically qualified for the region tournament. From the best we can tell, it was the 2000-2001 team that also was the first, and only, so far, Cougars team to make it to the Sweet 16/Sub-State. Campbell plays at Central tonight aiming for a second place finish in the district regular season and that automatic berth in the region. Watch all the fun right here over the WLAF – Doyle’s Tire Shop Sports Network. Just click on the WLAF – Lindsay’s Carpet & Paint Center video player.
The other meetings with Central went the way of Campbell with the Lady Cougars winning 38-32 while the Cougars won 79-63. Team records for Central are 9 & 16 for the Lady Bobcats while the Bobcats are 6 & 19. Campbell’s Lady Cougars are 15 & 7, and the Cougars are 11 & 11.
Josh Parker and company bring you all the game action and homecoming festivities beginning at 6pm over the WLAF-Doyle’s Tire Shop Sports Network. That’s AM 1450 and FM 100.9 on the radio and WLAF-TV 12 on television with the live telecast also over Facebook, YouTube, Roku TV, Amazon Firestick and right here over the WLAF and the Lindsay’s Carpet & Paint Center video player.
