Chester Warren Adkins, age 81 of Huntsville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. He was born on September 22, 1940 in Jakes Branch (Pioneer) to the late Rev. Columbus and Eva (Woods) Adkins. Chester was a member of White Rock Baptist Church. He was also a retired Coal Miner that enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family especially his grandbaby Sarah Kate Adkins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Harold and Clifton Adkins, and sisters Juanita McGhee, Brenda Owens, and Jean Rector.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Judy Lay Adkins of Huntsville; son Steve Adkins of Huntsville; granddaughter Sarah Kate Adkins; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, January 31, 2022 at White Rock Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Jim West officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in funeral procession to Fairview Cemetery for a 1:00 PM interment.
