  1. Ron Murray is a legend in this area and will never be forgotten and so is Len Pierce. I admire and appreciate everything they both contributed to Campbell County thru the years!!!

  2. For over forty-five years when our telephone would ring, whether I would answer or the answering machine
would pick up, the same message came through, “Shirley, this is Coach. Tell Mike to call me”. I don’t pretend
to know if this is true of everyone or not, but it certainly was for us. If you were in High Scholl in the late Fifties through the early Sixties, no matter which School you attended, you knew who “Coach” was, and he remained
so until he left to rejoin his 6th Grade Sweetheart, Billie Jean. We loved you, Coach! You were simply The Best!

  3. In addition to his coaching exploits Ron was an outstanding wingback on the LaFollette Owl’s single wing football teams in the late 1940’s. I remember when both he and his brother Don were stalwart members of the Owl teams. His family can be proud of the contributions he made during his life.
