Alice Faye Ayers, age 79 of LaFollette, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Summit View of Rocky Top. She was born on September 25, 1942 to the late Vernal and Alice (Cooper) Summers. She enjoyed watching football and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Glenn Ayers; son David Glenn Ayers and brother Vernal Harrison Summers.

She is survived by her sons Roger Ayers and wife Stephanie of Vonore and Anthony Ayers of Johnson City; sisters Jean Chadwell of Jacksboro, Carmelita McGhee of Ohio, and Mary Lynn Black of Ohio; 2 half-brothers; 6 half-sisters; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, January 27, 2022 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Don Proffitt officiating. Family and friends will meet on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 10:15 AM to go in funeral procession to Bakers Forge Cemetery for a 11:00 AM interment.
