LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Though today features a below average high (39) and low (19), there is some upside to the day. Today marks the day the average high of begins climbing. The average high up until today had been 46 degrees for the past few days, and today, that average high is 47 with an average low of 28. The average low will not start heading the other way for a little while longer.

Our Tuesday has more clouds than sun, brisk conditions with wind chills in the 20s and the air temperature not getting out of the 30s. It might be a stretch to make it to 39 degrees in some parts of Campbell County before temps dip to 19 tonight. Cold sunshine and mid-30s highlight Wednesday before Thursday’s temperatures moderate to near 50 degrees ahead of rain and snow on Friday and more below average highs and lows on Saturday and Sunday.   1. Compared to Chicago temps where today’s high is 12 and a low of -8 (wind-chill is -24) and tomorrow they’re looking at high of 9 and low of 6, I consider our weather to be on the balmy side…LOL.
