Mrs. Rochelle Ruth Douglas

Age 69, of Dundee, MI, went home to be with the Lord January 13, 2022. She was born on February 15, 1952 to Wallace and Bernice Ward in Toledo, Ohio. On October 24, 1970, at the age of 18, Rochelle married the love of her life, Donald Ray Douglas. They moved into an old farm house on 10 acres in Dundee to raise their two children. Rochelle began as a stay at home mom and a house wife until 1982 when she went to nursing school. Rochelle loved being an RN working at Bixby Hospital in Adrian, MI from 1984 – 2015. After retiring from Bixby Hospital, Rochelle and Donald and many family members took numerous trips to Tennessee, especially to the “Blockhouse” where they enjoyed many peaceful and relaxing days together.

Rochelle was a sweet, happy, loving individual that loved and cherished her family, friends and especially her relationship with Christ. She was always ready with a hug and a laugh. Rochelle cared for everybody and was willing to help anyone. She was a kind and forgiving soul that was a prayer warrior for her family. Rochelle never missed a birthday and she made every person she came across feel special, loved and cared for. She will be missed more than words can express. We look forward to being reunited with her in Heaven.

Rochelle is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Donald; son, Matthew; daughter, Julie; grandchildren, Chelsea, Logan, and Samantha; brothers, Wally Ward and Alan (Bonnie) Ward; sisters-in-law, Connie Cochran and Barb (Tony) Komives; brother-in-law, Bruce (Irene) Douglas; special nephew who was like a son, Brandon Douglas; and many other nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
