TOP PHOTO: Firefighters with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service and the La Follette Fire Department battled a house fire at Ivydale in the predawn hours of Friday.

IVYDALE, TN (WLAF) – A Campbell County family safely escaped its burning home around 5am on Friday morning. Firefighters with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service were paged out at 5:07am and upon arrival were able to rescue the family’s dog.

Fire units were paged out to this house fire at Ivydale at 5:07am Friday.

The double wide home in the Ivydale community is likely a total loss though the structure was not fully involved as first reported. The La Follette Fire Department assisted as the Campbell County EMS was on scene and standby in the event of injury which there was none.

CCRFS Assistant Chief Daniel Lawson said they were able to save quite a few items and clothes. Lawson adds that some rooms just had smoke damage.

Quite a few items were saved including clothes.
