Jacksboro agrees to add a paid holiday

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – On Monday afternoon, the Jacksboro Board of Mayor and Aldermen met in regular session. The meeting was postponed from last Thursday due to inclement weather.

In administrative matters, the board voted to add New Year’s Eve to the list of approved holidays for town employees. They also agreed to pay employees who work on a non-scheduled holiday time and a half plus holiday pay. Those employees would include the street department, police department and fire department.
