LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Spay Campbell County has announced it’s participating in the Betty White Challenge Fundraiser. After the iconic actor and animal rights activist passed away on the last day of 2021, multiple social media posts went out calling for others to donate to animal causes as White was known for doing. Posts suggest that in honor of what would have been White’s 100th birthday on January 17, donations should be made to local animal shelters and animal causes. White has helped so many animal related non profits raise money over the years.

Spay Campbell County has invited anyone who “loved Betty White and wants to make a donation in her memory, please consider donating to this fundraiser.” Donation information can be found on Facebook and on Spay Campbell County’s website or by calling 423.352.7447.

Spay Campbell County is a non-profit organization that aids low income families to secure and pay for low cost spay/neuter services with LaFollette Veterinary Services and Jacksboro Veterinary Services. As of June 2020, SpayCC has assisted with 2,437 animals in local communities. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/10/2022-6AM)
