Gary Michael Chapman, age 66 of Chattanooga, formerly of LaFollette went home to be with the Lord on December 27, 2021. Gary was of the Baptist Faith. He retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation after 42 years of service. He is preceded in death by parents James Ebb Chapman and Adra Whited Chapman, sister Betty and husband Dr. Kenneth Freels, grandparents Millard and Rose Chapman, John and Eula Whited.

Cousins: Joann Vaughn, Doris Goins, Suzette Chapman, Jamie Chapman, Debbie Carver, Kathy Fimchem

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Tuesday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home, with funeral service to follow at 7 PM with Rev. Dale Baker officiating. Family and friends will meet at Cross-Smith Funeral Home 10 AM Wednesday and proceed to Victory Cemetery for 11 AM interment.
