Lorita Ridenour age 83 of Speedwell, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 23, 2021. She was born February 17, 1938 in LaFollette to the late Harvey Henry and Lettie (Marlow) Evans. Lorita attended New Salem Baptist Church in Speedwell. She enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, sewing, listening to gospel music, and reading her bible.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Earl Ridenour; granddaughters, Bridgette Nicole Carroll and Lenessa Shaye Ridenour; brothers, Willis Ray (Buster), Bobby, Millard, Billie, Michael, and H.L. Evans; sister, Lois Holder.

Lorita is survived by her daughters, Barbara Dykes and husband, Jack of Speedwell, Brenda Lee Ausmus and husband, Gene of Tazwell; sons, Brian Lewis Ridenour and Barry Lester Ridenour and wife, Crystal both of Speedwell; brother, Carl Evans and wife, Hattie of LaFollette; sisters, Ann Adkins and husband, Thomas of Jacksboro, Lunda Evans and husband, Gayle of LaFollette, Helen Brock of Tazwell; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 27th, 2021 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with her funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Thomas Adkins officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:15 AM on Tuesday, December 28th, 2021 at the funeral home to go in funeral procession to Powell Valley Cemetery for an 10:00 AM interment.
