LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County’s female BSA Scout Troop 435 held its very first Court of Honor on Tuesday.

According to Troop leader Liz White, it was an exciting evening with several advancements of ranks and awards presented.

“Our brother Troop 310 attended and conducted the Flag Ceremony. Troop 310 has served as mentors and helped a lot in getting the troop started,” White said.

Several of the young ladies in Troop 435 have brothers in Troop 310.

“We are just one big family, but separate troops with different meeting locations and activities,” White said.

Troop 435 consists of Molly White, Sarah King, McKenzie Kibler, Aaliyah Valencia, Macy Kibler, Grace Wilson, and Katelyn Phillips.

Great Smoky Mountain Council President Logan Hickman was the guest speaker for the evening.

According to White, Hickman gave a “very inspiring” talk to the youth, and presented Troop 435 Patrol Leader Macy Kibler with a vintage Scoutmaster jacket.

This was a very special honor for her. Macy also received her Star Rank at the Court of Honor.

“Congratulations to the Scouts of 435 for their advancements and continued hard work,” White said. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/17/2021-6AM-PHOTO COURTESY OF LIZ WHITE)
